These Terms govern your use of the CareTag mobile application (“the App”) provided by fromDayOne (“we”, “us”). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control, in accordance with the App Store Terms.
2. Medical disclaimer
CareTag is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Information displayed is entered by the user and may be incomplete or outdated. In emergencies, responders should rely on professional judgment.
3. User content & responsibility
- You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter (e.g., allergies, medications, contacts).
- Do not enter content that violates law or rights of others.
4. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data (on-device by default, optional iCloud backup, advertising in free version).
5. Purchases & Subscriptions
- Premium: removes ads and unlocks features (e.g., multiple profiles, iCloud backup/restore, reminders, emergency QR, customization).
- Available plans may include one-time purchase (e.g., $4.99) and/or auto-renewing subscription (e.g., annual $9.99) depending on your region.
- Billing, renewals, refunds, and cancellations are managed by Apple via App Store. Manage in iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
- Prices may change and will be shown in-app before purchase.
6. Ads
The free version may display banner and interstitial ads via Google AdMob. Premium removes ads.
7. Acceptable use
- No reverse engineering, scraping, or interfering with the App.
- No illegal, harmful, or infringing use.
8. Warranty disclaimer
The App is provided “AS IS” without warranties of any kind.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data arising from use of the App.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada without regard to conflicts of laws.
