Summary
Tap Beacon is built to keep your data on your device. We don’t run an account system and we don’t operate servers for your messages.
Data We Process
- Location: Used to build a message with your current coordinates. For Safe Walk (Pro), background location may be used to deliver local reminders when you turn it on. Location is not sent to us.
- Contacts: Names and phone numbers you add to groups are stored locally on your device. They are used only to address messages you choose to send.
- Usage: The app may store lightweight logs of your sends (e.g., timestamp, group name, coordinates) locally so you can view your history.
- Payments: In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment details.
- Ads (Free version): The free version may display ads. Advertising providers may collect device identifiers to provide and measure ads. See their policies in the SDK disclosures within the app if applicable.
What We Don’t Do
- No sale of personal data.
- No uploading of your messages to our servers.
- No third-party analytics that identify you personally.
Your Choices
- Location access can be changed in iOS Settings at any time.
- You can delete groups, templates, and history inside the app.
- If you uninstall the app, locally stored data is removed from your device.
Children
Tap Beacon is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
